We are sorry to report an error on our part with ICE 3.5. One of the highly requested new features, remote data load, was inadvertently left out of the final release of ICE 3.5. So, we are hard at work checking that code back in, and doing a full QA of the release. We plan to release ICE 3.5.2P1 on March 7 to fix this problem.
Our apologies to our loyal community members and a lesson for the Infobright team going forward.

Over the past year, I've really enjoyed my relationship with the talented folks at Zend. We hosted a joint webinar as well as spoke at ZendCon 2010 -- both experiences were awesome. Many in the PHP community are looking for the stellar tools that Infobright and Zend provide. Because of the continued trust between Infobright and Zend, we began working together on a pretty cool endeavor: measure the performance improvement of using Infobright and Zend Server in the LAMP stack.
The traditional LAMP stack includes Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Especially with extremely large datasets, many may suffer poor performance with this combination. Instead, they turn to Infobright and Zend to solidify their stack. By simply replacing MySQL and PHP with open-source Infobright and Zend Server Community Edition respectfully, users will achieve higher performance when working with large amounts of machine-generated data.
To test the theory, the intern team at the University of Illinois has devised a series of tests for each combination of (MySQL, Infobright) and (PHP, Zend). We plan to publish our results in the coming weeks, so look out for our analysis!
If you're antsy and would like to get started now, download ICE at: http://bit.ly/hUMmHe and Zend Server at: http://bit.ly/fXmk5N.
