Infobright Blog

For your cloud computing ease, I just pushed an Infobright instance onto Amazon's EC2 Cloud.  For those wishing to test out our instance, please note that this AMI fits within the "free tier", so the cost to you is simply nothing.  Plus, I've loaded our carsales database for your querying pleasure.  To get started, follow these simple steps:

1. Setup an Amazon Cloud Services Account
2. Open your Account Management Console
3. Under Images, click on "AMIs"
4. In the search box, look for AMI ID: ami-5ed42837  (CentOS, Infobright, Carsales DB)
5. Launch the AMI with your settings.  If you'd like to go to a higher tier, please feel free.

Note that this AMI comes without any support or warranty.  We wanted to give you yet another avenue to witness the power of Infobright's powerful analytic, columnar database.  If there's an AMI you'd like to see, please send me a shout.  We're considering a few other options (different OS, vertical applications, etc.), but none have been solidified yet.
