please   make them a separate download if you’re worried about the increase in size.
It’s important to get a decent stack trace out of them.

Or for linux provide the ‘nm -n mysqld’ output in a .sym file before stripping them….

We will take a look at this. But we would not release .sym files. One option for you is, you can build debug binaries from source code. Source code contains ./Readme (For Linux),  WinBuild.txt (For Windows) with detailed compile instructions.
