Hi,

We have been using ICE for six months and the performance impressed us. Thanks for your effect.

Now we have some problem. We want to deploy several servers for ETL, but the hardwares are somewhat old and they don’t

support RHEL5. Now the running OS is RHEL4. If there is any old version of ICE supporting RHEL4? If yes, where can we get the

old version?

    Appreciate.

sincerely yours,
sqzhu

Hi Sqzhu,

You can go ahead and try to install it as-is, but unfortunately, if you problems with it, there’s not much we can do.  We do have users who do run in unsupported Fedora or versions of Ubuntu.

In addition, you can take the source code and try to compile it yourself for RHEL4.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your replay. We have tried installing ICE on RHEL 4.3 and got the error message “the kernel is too old”.

We will move on other methods to see if it is possible.

  Appreciate.

Sincerely,
