We are testing ICE 4.0 and currently trying to run some reports using MicroStrategy. One main limitation for running reports is not having “Create Temporary Table” option in ICE, since Microstrategy creates temporary tables for running reports (except for free from SQL option which we dont want test.) for executing queries.

We cannot download IEE since its having limited trial period and our tests can run for couple of months.  Is there any possibility now or in near future to add “create temp table” functionality to ICE ?

Firstly, if you’re looking to test IEE, then I am sure the sales team would work with you for a longer proof of concept.  I recommend reaching out to them and discussing the matter as we all would rather see you use the right technology for the job.

As far as the functionality, unfortunately, create temp table is not on our roadmap for ICE.  The strong focus is on the new domain expert and rough query technology.
