Hello,

I posted something around it in another place (http://www.infobright.org/Forums/viewthread/113/) but my colleagues are right that a separate thread is better. I will use this one for updates on our academic publications. I will be grateful for comments, as well as for pointing out any other papers that seem to describe the ideas analogous to what we’re doing at Infobright.

For the beginning, let me introduce our VLDB 2008 paper available at:

http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/journals/pvldb/pvldb1.html

The title is:

Brighthouse: an analytic data warehouse for ad-hoc queries (pages 1337-1345)

As I wrote before, this paper was finished prior to the beginning of the ICE Era. Certainly, our technology has matured since then but, on the other hand, the main principles remain the same. Hence, the paper is still a good source of information.

There is also one more paper. One can find it, for example, via my DBLP list of publications. Please have a look at item #55 at:

http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/indices/a-tree/s/Slezak:Dominik.html

I wrote about this paper in the rough set thread too. It’s a very short one, a kind of high-level scientific summary with some references to literature. One of the strengths of this paper is an illustration how the new methodologies raise their voices within traditional areas of databases and data warehouses.

Unfortunately, that second paper cannot be put online. However, if anyone is interested, please send me a note by email.

Best greetings,

Dominik

Actually, I wasn’t satisfied with the published version of that paper, so I prepared a revision.

Please have a look at the attachment.

Best greetings,

Dominik

Hello,

This is not about a paper but I think it may be useful anyway. Please find in the attachment the presentation I used during my recent visit to Korea and Japan. Compared to the previous ones (still available at, for example, http://rsctc2008.cs.uakron.edu/), you’ll surely find some new thoughts here. As usual, I’ll be happy to answer to any questions.

Best greetings,

Dominik
