Infobright server (mysqld) is run by system user ‘mysql’ by default. So make sure who is running mysqld. If it is user ‘mysql’ (unless you configured to user ibtest), the file needs to be accessible by user ‘mysql’.

Make sure load files and parent folders have read permission to either user mysql or group mysql.

What about SELinux settings (as indicated in a previous post)?

Well, I am not the system admin, so, couldnt check all your suggested settings.

However, selinux is disabled.

Can you comment on my situation now ? (that we know about selinux)

further, I have sent that url to my system admin guys to look at. perhaps implement too. smile

Just got back from vacation and found that the 3.3.2 beta is out already.
I was expecting that this /tmp related issue would have been addressed, but sadly no.

Then I visited http://bugs.infobright.org hoping that someone might have looged this issue and it might be addressed in a future release, but no :(

I didnt find this listed there.  So I think I should be doing that. My first bug report for infobright ... !!!

Any comments ??

Hi

Can you load data in a MyISAM table to see if you get the same error? If you have SELinux enabled, it may not be a bug, may be SELInux configuration. You can see Mysql bug:

1)Open the IIF file in Microsoft Excel.

2)Delete the ENTIRE LINE corresponding to the error.

-repeat for all lines on the error message.

3)Save the file as “filename.IIF”.

4)Reimport IIF file in Quickbooks.
