ICE provides some examples. However, a demo is very useful for the following reasons:
1. For new users, especially who are not quite familiar with SQL, a demo can help he/she to get a quick start. We can borrow the idea from Matlab or other software, so that the user can view both the program and the results.
2. Some new features can be introduced in the demo. This is also helpful for advanced users who are familiar with other DB.
3. Some comparison can also be done through the demo.
  Also, some examples written in java are welcome. Personally, I love java so much!

Thanks for your suggestion.  Just FYI, there is a recorded presentation and demonstration on the Infobright commercial website.  From the Home page, hover your cursor over Explore and select Product Demos.  It will take you here.

Although this demo is on the commercial site, it explains and demonstrates the features and capabilities of ICE, as well.  The first several minutes are a technical product overview which is followed by a mysql command line demonstration of some SQL that is optimized in Infobright’s database engine.
