Posted on behalf of a prospective Partner who is beginning their evaluation of Infobright with ICE:

I downloaded & installed ICE for an evaluation.  Can I ask quick question please?

I’m very much a Microsoft SQL Server DBA, so am a bit lost without my client tools!  I’ve got ICE up and running, but now what?  I’ve installed SQL Workbench, but am not sure what the connection string should be etc.  Do ICE instances have a default name?

Using the command line interface, what objects can I see – how can I get a list of them?  I had a stab at some guesses, but couldn’t see anything.  Do I only get to see user tables?

Thanks for contacting me – much appreciated.

I responded to this Partner with several embedded images which cannot be displayed in this forum.  So I have pasted the response into a MS Word document and attached it here.

Hi David & thanks again for the info.

The password for the ice user is blank/empty, as is the password for root.  Took a while to figure that out.
