ICE is a specialized Open Source load and read-only analytic database, as opposed to a general-purpose database. ICE is designed to be easy to implement and maintain, eliminating most of the configuration, tuning and ongoing maintenance activities of other databases. ICE is optimized for use under the following conditions:
- Up to 50TB of data, supporting hundreds of millions of rows in a single table
- Data loading and storage, no DML support required
- 64-bit & 32-bit Linux environments and 32-bit Windows
